Well I just got off the phone with the doctor at the All Valley Animal Hospital in Meridian. We discussed the different types of surgery for ACL injuries and have decided to go with the less invasive and newer surgery of the TTA as it does not cut the weight bearing bone. They are going to have to keep her for up to 48 hours for pain control. The doctor gave me a lot of confidence that this was the right way to go. I already know now that I am going to be concerned about her the whole time and I’ll probably end up calling the hospital a dozen times to check on how she is doing.
UPDATE 07/21/2010: Surgery went really well. Vet says she is doing great and she is coming home today.
Lisa, I will be praying for you and Dakota… I know that God loves our animals, they too are His creation.
Thank you sherry. I just dropped her off a few minutes ago. I know she will be fine I wish I just could have explained to her what was going on.
She is doing well and we expect a full recovery.
